The discussion includes internet – greatly influenced the cultural orientation of the
younger generation, giving rise to digital natives. Its continuation, the Artificial Intelligence or
AI was mentioned. Our instructor focused on discussing the Globalization and Technology –
wherein technology has taken over the world on a whim for the past decades.

The internet and media outlets play a crucial role in shaping the younger generation
cultural identity, fostering a more flexible and accepting society where people from different
places can connect impeccably. Some people use internet to communicate with people without
seeing them physically, developing a sense of confidence they do not have in person. Artificial
Intelligence – it brings new possibilities, concerns result from about its impact on job markets
and future generations because it plays a substantial role, industrializing tasks that formerly vital
human intellect. Globalization and Technology is intertwined because they are accelerating each
other growth. Technology is fast developing, and it has occupied a lot in our daily lives as it
provides enormous assistance to us. Cyberspace – a virtual realm where digital information is
stored and exchanged, allows people to connect and immerse themselves in diverse digital
experiences. A new global community emerged from cyberspace communication, and the
freedom of online communication with anyone on the globe has many people wondering if
cyberspace is a genuine place.

Our instructor asked us, “if one is online, are they lonely?” I do not know how to answer
because I am questioning myself when I was using social media. Maybe, maybe not, depends on
the matter of time and perspective. Artificial Intelligence is scary. Personally, I do not use it, it
might be helpful, but it is time consuming – the wasted time can be used to think about the
topics. Digital wellness, protect privacy and security, critical thinking skills must be prioritized
and developed to navigate online information. They say that AI will end Architecture field but it
will not, the creative ideas of an Architect is beyond and cannot be replaced by an artificial
intelligence.
