Indigay 2023 Manual
The USeP Tagum – Sports and Socio-Cultural Affairs Office through the
Office of Student Affairs and Services is the sole venue for the USeP Tagum
sports and socio-cultural activities in internal and external events. The office that
leads and organizes the biggest event on the Tagum campus which is the annual
intramurals and the source of non-academic activities for students in the university.

GROUND RULES
I. ENTRY / REGISTRATION
1. Participant of the Intramurals shall be students of USP Tagum - Mabini Campus duly
enrolled for the first semester. AY 2022-2023 and shall represents of the following units:
1. In determining the winners, specific events are played in single elimination, double
elimination and round robin system.
2. Points shall be assigned in determining the overall results.
3. Events shall be categorized into Team (Major & Minor Sports), Individual/Dual Sports,
Athletics, Cultural Events (Team & Individual/Dual), and Special Events.
4. Assigning of points is presented on the next page.
5. Winners for each category shall be declared right after every event/game.
6. In case of tie in points in determining the results for the final ranking, the following
measures should be taken:
Sports:
a. the number of champion in the major sports events, or if not resolved;
b. the number of champion in the minor sports events.
Cultural:
a. the number of champion in the cultural arts events.
7. Winners for each category shall be declared after the event.
1. All events shall be scheduled on April 24 – 28 (Undergrad) & 29, 2023 (Graduate School)
2. Any team/unit shall be considered default five (5) minutes after the last call has been
made and/ or if the number of players will not satisfy to play the respective event.
3. Some games are to be played simultaneously.
4. Time schedule for each event will be posted/ announced.
5. There will be a ten (10) minute break each game.
6. Request for the change of schedule is strongly discouraged aside from any
circumstances.
GROUND RULES
IV. PROTEST AND GRIEVANCE
1. All protests shall be made in writing addressed to the Athletic Manager before the third
game within the day game is played.
2. Protest letter shall stipulate the person(s), event(s), game number, officiating official(s), time
and the grounds being protested, duty signed by the coach or team captain and endorsed
by the chairman.
3. Protest not in writing shall not be entertained.
V. AGREEMENT
1. Players under the influence of liquor and drugs shall be deemed dealt with accordingly.
2. Student Athletic Coordinator and Unit Athletic Manager shall be responsible for the act of
their players or unit.
3. Participation in this tournament signifies acceptance of the rules stated above. Violation will
result in disqualification.
