Clue” Activity Pages
W H AT Y O U D O :
• Lead kids in a variation of SLAPZI™.
• Direct kids to sit around you in a circle.
• Deal five “See It” cards to each kid.
• Guide kids to set their cards in front of them, face up.
• Put the deck of “Clue Cards” in front of you, face down. Also set “The Final
Clue” Activity Page face down.
• Flip over the top “Clue Card,” put it in the center of the circle, and read it
aloud.
• Kids quickly look at their cards, and if they have a matching card, they pick
it up and slap it on top of the clue card.
ú For example, if the clue card reads, “Has four legs,” kids can slap down a
dog, table, or horse card.
• Continue play until two to three kids get rid of all of their cards.
• Play again as time allows.
• End the activity by spreading out all the “See It” cards.
• Show kids the “Final Clue” card and guide them to find anything that can
become something else.
ú Kids might identify the caterpillar, ice, tadpole, or egg.

page. Point to “Hebrews” at the top of the page as you say, “Hebrews.” Then guide
children to find the big number 11 on the page. Explain that this is the chapter number.
Finally, guide them to look under the big 11 for the little 1; this is the verse number. Tell
TODAY’S BOTTOM LINE them to leave their finger on the verse as you read the verse aloud. Then lead everyone
to say the verse together.

Finding verses with 1st graders: Guide ids to open their Bibles to the front and find
the table of contents. Hold up a Bible opened to the table of contents to show the
kids what the page looks like. When the kids find the table of contents, lead them to
find “Hebrews” in the list under “New Testament.” You can help by telling them that
