Outdoor activity:

Outdoor recreation or outdoor activity refers to recreation done outside, most

commonly in natural settings. The activities that encompass outdoor recreation
vary depending on the physical environment they are being carried out in. These
activities can include fishing, hunting, and gardening — and can be completed
individually or collectively.

Gardening:
Gardening is the practice of growing and cultivating plants as part
of horticulture. In gardens, ornamental plants are often grown for
their flowers, foliage, or overall appearance; useful plants, such as root
vegetables, leaf vegetables, fruits, and herbs, are grown for consumption, for
use as dyes, or for medicinal or cosmetic use. Gardening also takes place in
non-residential green areas, such as parks, public or semi-public gardens
(botanical gardens or zoological gardens), amusement parks, along
transportation corridors, and around tourist attractions and garden hotels. In
these situations, a staff of gardeners or groundskeepers maintains the gardens.

Canoeing:
Canoeing is an activity which involves paddling a canoe with a
single-bladed paddle. Common meanings of the term are limited to when the
canoeing is the central purpose of the activity. Broader meanings include when
it is combined with other activities such as canoe camping, or where canoeing is
merely a transportation method used to accomplish other activities. Most
present-day canoeing is done as or as a part of a sport or recreational activity. In
some parts of Europe canoeing refers to both canoeing and kayaking, with a
canoe being called an open canoe.
A few of the recreational forms of canoeing are canoe camping and canoe
racing. Other forms include a wide range of canoeing on lakes, rivers, oceans,
ponds and streams.
