The map illustrated how a village called Chorleywood developed within 126 years.

Overall, it is clear that the village presented dramatic growth, especially in transport infrastructure
which was caused by enhancing the population and four periods were shown on the map.

From 1868 to 1882 Chorleywood had only two main roads that were located on the north side and
west side. This village had two entertainment at that time which were Chorleywood Park and Golf
Course. Moreover, had also constructed the train station near the west main road in the period 1883
to 1922 and followed by a railway through that village from east to west.

In 1970 Motorway was built from north to south and was also crossed over with the main road in
the north. As time goes the expansion of Chorleywood spread to the northeast, southeast, and
southwest. The main development took a place at each intersection either the railway with the main
road or the main road with the motorway.
