Topic – Capacity Building viz. L&D

Led by – Saad Ahsan Siddiqui
Time – 10:00 am to 11:00 am

What?
The session is about Capacity Building distributed into 3 parts for 3 weeks. The three subtopics are
Knowledge, Skill and Attitude (KSA). Capacity building means increasing our power to act as a leader.
It can be done through various modes some of which has been selected for the upcoming sessions.
Increase in knowledge makes a clearer understanding, polishing of skills makes us do things with
innovation and a positive attitude makes us represent ourselves in front of others.

Why?
Working on these things can help us in becoming a better leader as we are working on the same in
this fellowship journey. We our here to shine. The Self Awareness part of the Learning Curriculum is
doing the same. In addition to this, a thought on other aspects of a leader must also be given a
chance.

How?
We are trying to become better human beings. So, we need to work on knowledge, skill and attitude
by different means. We will be working on these skills through presentations, document reading,
questionnaires, movies, activities, dialogues, listening and observations. These will be some of the
tools we will be using in this journey.

So, I request my PL to guide me in this journey as I will be leading these exercises. I hope to
successfully undergo this 3 week plan and aspire to one day present it at large scale.

The time management for today’s session is as planned:

- 5 minutes to let everyone join the session.
- 5 minutes for Chetna Geet.
- 3 minutes for an introduction regarding the session with the permission of the PL.
- 2 min per person to share the current understanding about capacity building with reference
to knowledge.
- 10 minutes sharing of ppt and explaining the terms and activities.
- 15 minutes for questions from the team.
- 10 minutes to PL to give a review.
- 10 minutes to compensate for any activity taking more than expected time and for a
thanking note.
