At the end of this lesson students will be able to:
• Identify and relate with the heart & leaf shape.
• Name the shapes correctly regardless of its color, size and orientation.
• Begin to draw & color the heart & leaf shapes.

Teaching Learning Materials required:

• Ribbons & glitters.

• Clay doh.

Details of Teaching Learning Experience

Seating Arrangement: Normal

Lesson Beginning Whole Class

• Show the slide show (Annex 1) to the class.

Time: 15 mins
• Ask them to identify and name each object and shape.
Purpose: Introduce • Correctly name each object with the shape.

Lesson Middle Forming 3 – Fun activity- Heart Pendant

• Form four groups of six students each.

Time: 20 mins
• Ask the students to make a heart with heart shape cutter with the doh.
Purpose: Develop • Ask them to decorate the heart with glitters.
conceptual • Take a pencil and make a hole at the top and let it dry.

• Put a golden ribbon through the hole to tie it around the neck as pendant.

Lesson End Worksheet/Individual

• Collect two heart shape leaves.

Time: 10 mins
• Stick/ trace them on A-4 sheet.
