intersecting lines obtuse angle

parallel lines straight angle

perpendicular lines reflex angle

Circle complete or full angle

Triangle Zero angle

Centre Semicircle

Arc Chord

Radius Diameter

Point:
A point is an exact position or location on a plane surface. It has no
size, only position.
Line:
A line is a straight path extends in both directions infinitely.

Ray:
A part of a line with a start point but no end point.

.
Line segment:

A part of a line with two endpoints. We can measure the line segment
but not a ray or line.

. .
Intersecting lines:

If two lines cross each other at a point, they are called intersecting
lines. The point at which two lines intersect is called Point of Intersection.

. Point of Intersection

Parallel lines:

The lines on a plane that never meet and are always at an equal
distance from each other.
Perpendicular lines:

Two lines that intersect at right angle.

. 90o

Angles:

When two rays have a common endpoint, they form an angle.

The common endpoint of the rays forming an angle is called the vertex
of the angle.

The two rays forming an angle are called the arms of the angle.

arm

vertex angle

B C
arm

While naming an angle, the middle letter is always the vertex of the angle.

It can be written as ABC or CBA . Protractor is used to measure angles.

The unit for measuring angles is degree.

Types of angle:

Acute angle:

An angle that is less than 90o

Ex:

45o

Right angle:

An angle that is exactly 90o

90o

Obtuse angle:

An angle that is greater than 90o and less than 180o

Ex:

120o
Straight angle:

An angle that is exactly 180o

180o
.

Reflex angle:

An angle that is greater than 180o and less than 360o

Ex:
210o

Full angle or complete angle:

An angle that is exactly 360o

360o

Zero angle:

An angle measuring 0o is known as zero angle. In a zero angle, both the arms
are the same.
