PCA-Choosing an Organization Worksheet

1. Name and description of organization:

I am currently employed by Electrical Source (ES), a company headquartered in Burbank,

California. ES is recognized as the leading wholesaler of critical power switch gear
components worldwide. The company's mission is to serve as the ultimate one-stop
solution for electrical wholesale distribution, specifically catering to urgent needs and
addressing critical power challenges faced by customers. ES houses a diverse range of
electrical companies, each specializing in various areas such as electrical components,
automation, and technology. With its strategically located distribution centers, ES is
equipped to ship products next-day practically anywhere in the United States and
Canada.

2. My Role at Electrical Source:

My current role at Electrical Source is Marketing Manager. As the marketing manager, I

oversee various marketing initiatives and strategies to promote and enhance the
company's brand image. This involves developing and executing marketing campaigns,
conducting market research, analyzing customer insights, and collaborating with cross-
functional teams to drive effective marketing initiatives. Additionally, I am responsible
for managing digital marketing efforts, including social media, website content, and
online advertising, to reach our target audience and generate leads. Overall, my role
involves creating impactful marketing strategies that align with Electrical Source's goals
and contribute to its continued growth and success.

3. The Situation: Non Approved Link in Email Campaign.

Last month in May, we launched a promotional email campaign to our customers,

aiming to promote our website and its online ordering features. The email campaign
underwent a review and approval process by Kim, the VP of Marketing, and Tony, the
VP of Sales, ensuring the content and images were appropriate. Jessie, the Brand
Marketing Coordinator, scheduled the email to be sent without seeking further approval
or conducting a thorough check. The email successfully reached over 15k customers in
our email database as planned, but unfortunately, a critical oversight occurred. One of
the links at the bottom of the email directed customers to another company's website
instead of our own. This mistake, while seemingly minor, had a significant impact on our

customers' experience and reflects a collective oversight by the Marketing team,
including myself.
