Title: Cruise Control
A cruise ship named The Carnival Triumph started journey from Galveston, TX on
February 7, 2013, to Gulf of Mexico. More than three thousand passengers aboard the
Carnival Triumph, that became a daily reality. Onboard Carnival's fun ship, expectations
were high. Sadly, this ill-fated trip would make memories for very different reasons.

Facts and Figures:

On February 10, 2013, fire in one of the engine rooms of Carnival Triumph, which
caused the ship to lose power, including propulsion and the cruise was left adrift in the Gulf
of Mexico for five days. Customers with full bladders became very angry. Fink, president
of Lexicon Communications, the country's oldest crisis management firm, was reminded of
Carnival's response to the Costa Concordia disaster of January 2012 but the management
didn’t take proper action plan that can applied in the crisis movement. Some passengers of
the cruise were died.

Company executives offered generous compensation reimbursing fares, waiving

onboard purchases, and promising future cruise and a paltry $500.

Learning:
1. Setup the goals.
2. Planning process is required before doing the job.
3. Achieving the goals we can divide the plans accordingly Strategic Plan, Tactical
Plans and Operational Plans.
4. To reach the goals we must consider the time frame e.g., Long-Range Plan,
Intermediate Plans, Short-Range Plans.
5. According to the goals, responsibilities need to be distributed.
6. In a crisis movement needs to take proper decisions.
