The history of the piramyds of guiza

This story tells about some exchange students who go to Egypt to learn about their culture and
their country

A:hi yoghiandoh I am excited to know all the places and the culture of this country

Y:hi alexandra me too all the history of this country is very cool and specifically I want to know the
pyramids of Giza I find it the most interesting

A:look there is a guide that will take us to the pyramids and explain the history

E: Hello guys, I am the guide that the school assigned so that you know the country and its
customs. Today we will see the pyramids of Giza and we will know a little more about its history.

Y:wow so cool lets start

E:While we arrive I will tell you a little about the history of the pyramids.

But first tell me what do you know about the pyramids?

Y: well i know that Located on the Giza plateau, 18 kilometers from Cairo, (the capital of Egypt) the
Pyramids areot only the most important monuments in Egypt, but also the oldest in the world
These are funerary constructions that were built under the orders of pharaohs of different
dynasties

E: thats true and the pharaohs were mummified and introduced into the pyramids along with
some food and their most precious belongings to accompany them on their last journey. Although
the exact date of construction of the great pyramids is not known, it is estimated that the works
began around the year 2500 BC.

A:and their beliefs were tha the pharaohs of Egypt hoped to become gods in the afterlife. To
prepare for the next world, they erected temples to the gods and huge pyramidal tombs for
themselves, filled with all the things each ruler would need to guide and sustain themselves in the
next world.
Y:but i have a question how did they manage to move the enormous blocks and how was the
construction of such perfect structures achieved at that time?

E: Well that is known but There are numerous theories on the subject among which, how could it
be otherwise, there are always those who attribute the constructions to extraterrestrials as the
most accurate theory.

A: Look, we’re here, but there are many pyramids. Which are the best known?

E: The three main pyramids at Giza are Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure. Besides these there are
many other minor pyramids.

Y: look there is cheops Also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, Cheops (Khufu) is the largest
pyramid, as well as the most important of all due to its history.

E: thats correct and there is Khafre’s Pyramid. is the second largest in Egypt after Cheops. It is
currently the only one of the pyramids that still retains a small part of its ancient limestone
coating, which is white on top.

A: oh yeah there is mycerines The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the group, but no less
interesting for that. It has a height of 66 meters and its base is just over 100 meters on ocean

E:Remember this pyramids was built around 2570 BC and it is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of
the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid of Giza is that it’s the oldest and last remaining of the
original seven world wonders.

Y: wow this trip was amazing lets go for some pizza
