At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

a. identify five basic shapes;
b. determine the importance of five basic shapes by presenting any
shapes that they see around them; and
c. draw an object using five basic shapes and present it to the class.

PRELIMINARY Prayer:
ACTIVITIES
The teacher will lead the prayer.

Greetings:

The teacher will greet the pupils and vice-versa.

Attendance:

The teacher will check the attendance.

Classroom Rules/Management:

The teacher will remind the pupils to:

• Always be prepared in our lesson.


• Be quite if the teacher is talking.
• Don’t make unnecessary noise, raise your hand if you want to say
something.
• No going outside when the discussion started.
• Respect one another.

Review of the past lesson:

The teacher will review the past lesson and ask some pupils to
answer the questions.

Motivation:

The teacher will present a song entitled "Mr. Shape Head".

READING OF OBJECTIVES

A1. ACTIVITY
Activity: (FIX ME!)

The teacher will group the pupils into 3 groups per row.
INSTRUCTION: In five (5) minutes let the pupils arrange "Mr. Shape
Head" head. The teacher will provide the materials and each group
leader will be the one to present their finish product.

Let's put "Mr. Shape Head" head back on.

A2. ANALYSIS The teacher will ask the following questions:

1. What have you observed in our activity?

2. How many shapes did Mr. Shape Head have?

3. Does anyone have any idea what is our topic today?


A3. ABSTRACTION The teacher will start the new lesson.

• CIRCLE

It is a round shape figure that has no corners or edges

It is a plane figure with three straight sides and three angles.

sides.

A4. APPLICATION “FIND ME!”

In five (5) minutes the teacher will group the pupils with the same three
(3) groups and let the pupils list all the shapes that they see around
them with corresponding names that has in the five basic shapes and
present the output in front of the class.

For example;

Whiteboard = rectangle

The teacher will ask the following questions:

1. What is the importance of all the shapes that you list in your activity
today?

2. Can we live without shapes in our life?

VALUING The teacher will ask the following reflective questions.

1. Why do you think that it is important to know all the shapes that
we have in our surroundings?

2. Can we easily create a real-life objects like table, things that we


have in our house or anything that we have seen anywhere without
learning its basic?

3. Are you excited to create something with the shapes that you like?
ASSESSMENT Class assessment

(Assessing learning) The teacher will assess pupils learning base on the lesson.

In a one (1) whole sheet of paper the pupils will draw a human body
using five basic shapes. Refer to the rubrics before drawing. The activity
will at least 10 minutes to finish.
