Hello friends, today I’m going to be talking about Walt Disney’s life story.

I’m sure we all know who Walt Disney is. In case you don’t, which I doubt but he’s the co-founder of
Walt Disney Productions with his brother, Roy. Together, they made a franchise loved by kids and
adults with their cartoons and animations. When he was young, he took an interest in drawing and
in the early 1920s, he moved to California and set up the Disney Brothers Studio with Roy. The
studio grew and grew, now becoming one of the top American animation industries. Although, his
story didn’t start with just luck. Instead, it starts with a hardworking boy trying to reach his dreams.

His art career started when his brother got him a job at an art studio, although he got fired for the
reason of “he lacked imagination”. Most would be sad and discouraged, but Walt still kept his
optimism. He opened a business with his friend but they failed to get costumers and it went
downhill. But he still didn’t give up, he got a job at an ad company to get some money to fund his
goals. Later, he quit his job and started another studio making animations. But funding soon declined
and the business went bankrupt.

But he didn’t give up still, even after 2 failed businesses. He moved to Hollywood, met up with Roy
and together made Walt Disney Productions. It was small, and lacked employees, but it was enough
for him to get going. Things went well this time, his series about Alice was well received and he
started hiring more employees and animators. Six years later and many successful animations later,
he announced his first full-length film “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs”. Everyone thought it was
a bad idea but he persevered. And thankfully he did, as it became one of the most successful film of
the year.

From then on, he continued making successful animated films and iconic characters. He opened
Disneyland that became an instant success. Despite the failures he went through, he still worked
hard and pushed through to achieve his dreams, which I think is something we all can learn from his
story.
