Risk laden critical sectors. Governments have effectively regulated formal, national, regional
cybersecurity plans. Critical to digitisation of economies. A key driver of socio-economic
growth. It is under both government and private control.
Mobile sector was first. The capital investment was made by the government. Fibre optic, 5G
etc are examples.
Cybersecurity policies.
Clarity is required.
Consensus is necessary but is very difficult to achieve.
Despite all security breaches, the reception and the study of the threat and their systems.
Understanding needs to be better.
To be found in governments, policy makers, and private entities.

Challenges.
Lack of understanding of the level of skills and vulnerability.
Developing engineering and software skills.
Vulnerability to threats and threat levels.
Dependence on others with limited control.
Facial recognition, AI, cloud, etc provide some context.
Cyberhygiene – acceptable practices and access controls.
