Research Proposal Form (PH.D)
The Research Proposal written in English should be typed (A4 paper, double-spaced) and it should be
approximately 1,500 words excluding reference in length. Make sure that you proof read your proposal before
you submit it, and endure that your writing is coherent, clear, and compelling. The research proposal must be
your own work. If the admission committee of KDIS discovers this is not the case, your application may be
cancelled.
1. Research topic: Describe the specific problem you are interested in and explain why it is important.
2. Research questions: What is (are) the specific research question(s) you will explore and analyze.
3. Literature review and its limitations: What is the key literature and its limitations?
4. Hypotheses: What are the main hypotheses that you would like to test?
5. Research methods: Describe what research methods you intend to use to conduct your research.
Elaborate the data you will use and how you will obtain the data. If you plan to conduct case studies,
6. Contribution: Describe potential theoretical and practical implications and contributions of the
research.
7. References: List all sources cited in the proposal. Do not list any that are not cited. Please feel free to
