RE: DEMAND TO SETTLE

Dear Mr. Lopez:

I write in behalf of my client, MR. JULIUS D. HERNANDEZ, who referred to me for appropriate
action the above-captioned matter.

Facts revealed to me by my client show that he paid the amount of SEVENTY FIVE
THOUSAND PESOS (PHP75, 000.00) as payment for farming down trees belonging to Ms. Isabel
Puatu. However through fraud, you were able to convince Ms. Puatu to return the said amount of
money to you without authority from my client. Clearly, there was an intention on your part to
misappropriate the money to the prejudice of my client.

Since May 2023 you were demanded to liquidate this amount of money. However, despite
repeated demands were made upon you by my client, you failed and refused, and still fails and
refuses to liquidate the same.

Pursuant to law, my client DEMANDS THAT YOU SETTLE as to the liquidation of this amount
of money within FIVE (5) DAYS from notice hereof. If you fail to heed this demand, we shall be
constrained to institute appropriate CRIMINAL and CIVIL actions against you to protect my client’s
interest. We trust that you will give this matter your preferential attention.
