November 24, 2020 MR. EDIZER S. LAQUEO ‘School Principal | Putatan Elementary School San Guillermo, Putatan, Muntinlupa City Dear Sir Laqueo: ‘As of November 22, 2020, the Department of Health stated that there are 418,818 cumulative cases of COVID19 infection in the country. Because of this scenario, there are a number of methods that the government implemented to stop or slow down the progression of the pandemic and mandated other institutions to come up with measures to protect their workers and clients hence, DepEd released Memorandum DM-CI-2020-00162 regarding online learning. Also, several articles pointed out that online learning calls for a greater amount of motivation and self-discipline especially from the educators to effectively and efficiently deliver their work. Aside from their usual work outputs they are inundated with deadlines, tracking progress, meetings etc. such things can really take its toll on the eduators mental health. In this regards, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Graduate Students, enrolled under the Master of Arts in Education in Guidance and Counseling program, will hold a “Self-Compassion Enhancement Webinar for Techers of Putatan Elementary School “ on December 04, 2020 from 2pm to Spm only. The basics on self-compassion hopes to bring to the participants the appreciation about treating the self with care and concern when considering personal inadequacies, mistakes, failures, and painful life situations. Especially in the time of COVID19 pandemic and the challenges that the online learning is bringing to fore, through this activity, the participants may have “light bulb moments” that we learn from experiences, in our own life and the life of our clients, that it affects virtually everything, And that the relationship that we have with ourselves shapes our daily experiences profoundly. ed.
