Time Series Analysis Jan'23


OBJECTIVE- To use time series analysis techniques to forecast number of passengers flying in a period
• Built ARIMA, SARIMA models to predict number of passengers flying in a given period using time series analysis
• Used differencing technique to make the time series stationary while attaining a p-value of 0.2 for ADF test
• Analysed PACF and ACF plots to determine the right lag in model and found SARIMA to outperform ARIMA model

OBJECTIVE- To leverage financial analysis and valuation skills to obtain the intrinsic value of ITC shares
• Carried out a DuPont analysis using key financial ratios like profitability, D/E etc to judge ITC's financial health
• Forecasted ITC's financial metrics like COGS, future sales, revenue etc to estimate future FCFF, CCF & ECF
• Utilized DCF & DDM methods to determine intrinsic value of ITC stock based on discounted FCF & dividends
Econometrics | Term Project (Prof. Pulak Mishra) Oct'22
OBJECTIVE- To quantify measures to determine financial performance and profitability of Indian banks
• Performed panel data regression to achieve the above stated objective using data from 24 banks for 10 years
• Concluded a random effect model achieving 1% level of significance and an R- squared (within) value of 0.22
• Assessed fixed effect model and pulled off 1% level of significance with an R-squared(within) value of 0.23
• Discovered that total debt to owners funds and interest expended to interest earned have negative correlations
with profit margin and return on assets

•Organized and managed the biggest fest of IIT Kharagpur, Illu 2022 and ensured maximum participation
•Administered hall maintenance worth INR 10 Lacs+ that led to repair and purchase of new appliances
•Successfully managed the hall with a 30% less workforce than required and reduced cost to HMC by 30%

• Stood among the top 0.2% by achieving a rank of 1948 among 1.1 million students who sat for JEE Mains
