ONE OF THE HAPPIEST MEMORIES IN MY CHILDHOOD:

I WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO LIFT A BOX THAT WAS IN MY ROOM, AND MY OLDER BROTHER WAS TOO
TALL AND HE HELPED ME LIFT THE BOX AND PUT IT ON HIS SHOULDERS AND CARRIED ME ALONG WITH THE
BOX ON HIS SHOULDERS. THAT WAS ONE OF THE HAPPIEST MEMORIES I HAVE. OR IT COULD ALSO BE THE
FIRST TIME THAT I RIDE A BICYCLE, BECAUSE MY SISTER TAUGHT ME AND AFTER SO MANY FALLS I LEARNED
TO DRIVE, AND IT WAS A TOTALLY SATISFYING AND EXCITING EXPERIENCE. THESE TWO MOMENTS WERE THE
ONES THAT MOST MARKED ME IN MY CHILDHOOD.

GALLETAS DE CHOCOLATE CRUJIENTES


INGREDIENTS
1 pound of wheat flour
85 grams of butter
1 pound and a half of sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
100 grams of chocolate

Preparation of the crunchy chocolate cookies

We put the butter in a bowl and melt it for a few seconds in the microwave. In less than a minute, we can already see
that it begins to melt. We mix the butter with the sugar in a bowl and begin to beat until we get a uniform cream.

We add the egg and the vanilla essence to the mixture and continue beating until they are integrated. In another bowl
we mix the flour with the yeast and add it to the egg, butter and sugar mixture. With a knife we chop the chocolate into
irregular cubes and add them to the previous mixture.

With the help of a fork we begin to integrate the dry ingredients with the liquids. When we have a kind of sand we begin
to compact them with our hands until they form a ball. We take small portions, of about 30 grams and form a ball with
our hands.
Flatten the ball and place it on greaseproof or waxed paper in a baking dish. We are doing the same with the rest of the
dough.

We must place the portions slightly separated on the tray that we are going to put in the central position of the oven,
which will grow during baking. The cookies will not stick together, we can remove them, once baked, without problem
from the baking paper or tray.

With the oven previously heated to 180º C, we bake the cookies. Always with heat up and down and with the fan option,
for about 15 minutes, until we see that they are golden brown. We remove the cookies to a rack and let them cool
before consuming them. We can enjoy a perfect homemade sweet for breakfast.

In general, I consume them about 2 times a month, they are delicious but it is not recommended to eat them very often
because they have a lot of sweetness.
