The differential air pressure regulator (air pressure regulator), located at the top of the turbine plenum flange, provides contro} air at required pressure to the unloading air shutoff (load control) valve. The air pres~ sure regulator consists of a diaphragm-actuated metering valve and air filter. A list of leading particulars is provided in table 1. Table 1. Air pressure is restricted to 30 psig. g, Dry parts thoroughly with clean, filtered, compressed air regulated at 15 to 30 psig. 10, INSPECTION, a General Inspection Requirements. (1) Visually inspect a11 components for excessive wear, cracks, corrosion or other obvious damage. No damage allowed. Damaged Ory Film Lubricant Surface, (1) Using abrasive paper (33-4), remove original dry film lubricant down to anodized or plated surface of part. TARNING Use solvent in a well-ventilated area. Avoid ex- cessive skin contact or prolonged inhalation of vapor. Do not use near open flame or in area where high ‘temperatures prevail. (2) Clean abraded surface with dry cleaning solvent (33-123). (3) Apply dry film lubricant (33-71) to surface. b. Wale Seat, Using 262730 cutter assembly, reface valve seat in housing (20, figure 1). 12, ASSEMBLY, a, Install seal (17, figure 1) on housing (20). {Part Wo. 10g032-3) Install filter element (18) with packing (19) in cover ¢c. Apply grease (33-55) to threads of housing (20). d. (Part No. 108032-0-39) Install cover (16) on housing (20). (Part No. 108032-3) Install cover (16) and filter element (18) with packing (19) on housing (20). e. Install spring (15), valve (14), diaphragm assembly (13), spring (12), cover (11) and modification tag (10) if required on housing (20). CAUTION, Be sure spring is not cocked or diaphragm distorted when screws (8) are tightened. f, Secure cover (11) to housing (20) with screws (8) and washers (9). g. Install ball (7), spring (6) and screw (5) in cover (11). h. Install washer (4) and nut (3) on screw (5). i. AIR FORCE T.0, 26-GTC85-33-11 NAVY —-NAVATR 03-105BC-32.10 WP 003 00 TESTING. Preparation for Test. NOTE Ensure air pressure is reduced to zero, all shutoff valves are closed and electrical power is off prior to the start of each test. Gages that read in mercury or inches lig vacuum may be replaced by gages that read in equivalent psia. (1) Install air pressure regulator in 264236-1-1 test stand assembly, or equivalent test setup. as shown in figure 2. (2) Provide a means of vibrating air pressure regulator during test. (3) Ensure orifice (7) is 0.0135 inch diameter and orifice (8) is 0.067 inch diameter. Case Leakage Test. (1) Open solenoid valve (2, figure 2) and shutoff valve (6), close shutoff valve (5). (2) Adjust inlet regulator (1) and apply a compressed air inlet pressure of 25 41.0 psig indicated on inlet gage (3) at a temperature of 80 240°F (27 422°C) (3) Check al1 joints and fittings for leaks with detergent (33-47). (4) Stop all leaks before proceeding. + Calibrate Unit. (1) Close shutoff valves (5, 6, figure 2) and open solenoid valve (2). (2) Adjust inlet regulator (1) and apply a compressed air inlet pressure of 40 21,0 st indicated on inlet gage (3) at a temperature of 80 40°F (27 222°C). NOTE A clockwise rotation of adjustment screw increases pressure. (3) Adjust screw (5, figure 1) to obtain a reading of 38.0 to 39.0 inches Hg gage on gage (4, figure 2).
