Subject: WhatsApp Communication Protocol

Dear Parent
Greetings from VIBGYOR HIGH!

We are happy to share that we have taken the initiative to start a WhatsApp channel with
our parents.

The WhatsApp mode will be used only for the following purpose:

• Emergency Messages
• Upload of creatives for the upcoming events
• Upload of photos of the special days and events like: Field Trips, Culminating
Activities and for both academic and non-academic events as per the Event Calendar
• Achievements – both Academic and Non-Academic

The WhatsApp mode is not a replacement for I-Campus Buddy App and hence will not be
used for:

• Sharing / uploading of fortnightly circulars

• Fee reminders
• Outstanding fee messages etc.

Broadcast group creation and usage – Key points

• The contact number of the school representative is 8655698072.

• Please save the above-mentioned number in your contact list as VIBGYOR Lucknow
to be a member of the broadcast group. If this number is not saved, message sent by
the school will not be delivered to the intended recipients.
• Either of the parent i.e., the father or the mother whose contact number as per
school records is provided as preferred number for communication, will be
considered as the broadcast group member. Please share the contact number of the
parent who will be part of this WhatsApp group, through a diary note by 10 July
2023.
• In case any parent does not wish to be part of the WhatsApp group or does not wish
to have the photos of their ward published on the group, may communicate the
same to the coordinator through a diary note.
• If a parent wishes to resume the WhatsApp updates, the parent should send a
written request /email to the school helpdesk for the same.
• This will be one-way communication and we will try and ensure that the messages
are sent during school operating hours i.e., from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
 Disappearing messages setting will be set at 7 days. Hence you are requested to save /
download the information within 7 days of receipt.

This mode of WhatsApp protocol is created to have better communication with our parents.
This however is not a replacement of a Parent Service Request. In case of any query or
concern, please reach out to the school help desk on 0522 – 4263450/ 7376172930 or raise
a service request on the parent portal.
