1. Why do sustainable cities matter?
● Air quality
● Migration causes a need
● Impact of the pandemic
2. Discuss situations where people felt that the city or community was not sustainable for
them or their friends & family
● Bad footpaths, no safe walking space, two-wheelers on the footpath
● No lifts in railway stations to cross platforms
● No hygienic washroom in many public places
● Cutting trees for buildings, metro, etc.
3. How can it be sustainable?
● Follow up with the situation as an example and elaborate on it
● Identify what is needed, what is missing and how we can ensure it is available
4. What are the challenges to these suggestions/ideas?
● Discuss what are the challenges to sustainable cities and communities
● Identify how to overcome the challenges on a personal level
5. How can we reduce our carbon footprint?
