BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The researchers chose to develop the disinfecting machine for teacher's and learner's material.

This will be develop due to the current learning and teaching system of the learners and
teachers during this pandemic. In year 2020, Coronavirus Disease also known as COVID-19 brings a big
impact to our lives, economy and environment. This disease leads to different global crisis that our
world, specially our country to employ different methods to prevent the spreading of the disease. In
order to ensure our safety, Philippine officials established the IATF, or Inter-Agency Task Force, which
will lead the activities to combat this type of diseases. The Philippine government has begun to
implement a new standard in several facilities, particularly in education, throughout the last year. The
Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) adopted and
implemented the flexible model of blended learning modalities are the following: Modular (Printed),
Modular (Digitized), Online, Educational TV, Radio based Instructions, Home Schooling and Blended
Learning.

To ensure the safety of the learners and teachers while adapting to the new normal, this
machine will help to disinfect the delicate papers and other materials by means of killing the germs on
the surfaces and objects with the use of chemicals to lower the risk of spreading infections and no
longer have to be exposed the sun or sprayed with disinfectant. Through this machine you will have a
fast, easy and effective disinfection. This machine will also be using fogs to minimize the materials as
well as the chemicals of this disinfectant. It might be simple yet it will be beneficial for teachers as well
students. Through this disinfectant it will help to maximize the number of germs from our body and
environment.
