77 Verses About The Glory of God
OLD TESTAMENT
There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he
1 Exodus 3:2 looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed.
Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like you, majestic in holiness,
2 Exodus 15:11 awesome in splendor, doing wonders?
Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six
3 Exodus 24:15-16 days; on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the cloud.
When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at
the entrance of the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses. When all the
people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the
4 Exodus 33:9-10 people would rise and bow down, all of them, at the entrance of their tent.
Moses said, “Show me your glory, I pray.” And he said, “I will make all my
goodness pass before you, and will proclaim before you the name, ‘The Lord’;
and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom

The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the
name, “The Lord.” The Lord passed before him, and proclaimed,

a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger,
and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
keeping steadfast love for the thousandth generation,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin,
yet by no means clearing the guilty,
but visiting the iniquity of the parents

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the

When Solomon had ended his prayer, fire came down from heaven and
consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled
the temple. The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the
glory of the Lord filled the Lord’s house. When all the people of Israel saw the
fire come down and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed down on

They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom,
and tell of your power,
to make known to all people your mighty deeds,

Then the Lord will create over the whole site of Mount Zion and over its places
of assembly a cloud by day and smoke and the shining of a flaming fire by
34 Isaiah 4:5 night. Indeed over all the glory there will be a canopy.

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;

and the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his
power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven
75 Revelation 15:8 angels were ended.
After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in
heaven, saying,
“Hallelujah!
76 Revelation 19:1 Salvation and glory and power to our God,
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God is
77 Revelation 21:23 its light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
