What is the Glory of God?

● The word Glory of God is used to describe the manifest presence of God.
● Many times during worship or solitude adoration or when in the presence of
Jesus in the blessed sacrament you can sense or feel the manifest presence
of God.
● There are different levels and forms of this manifestation. God has come as a
weighty presence, cloud, fire, shining light, gold dust and in many wonders.
● Even in my personal prayer and ministering unto the Lord in praise and
worship, waiting on the Lord, meditating or reading the word of God and also
when in adoration in front of the blessed sacrament this same tangible
presence has manifested in my life.
So, this means that it is POSSIBLE to carry the Glory of God upon me 24/7

OLD TESTAMENT
There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a ​flame of fire​ out of a bush; he
1 Exodus 3:2 looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed.
Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?
Who is like you, ​majestic​ in holiness,
2 Exodus 15:11 awesome in splendor, doing wonders?
Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the ​cloud​ covered the mountain.
The ​glory​ of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the ​cloud​ covered it for six
3 Exodus 24:15-16 days; on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the ​cloud​.
When Moses entered the tent, the ​pillar of cloud​ would descend and stand at
the entrance of the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses. When all the
people saw the ​pillar of cloud​ standing at the entrance of the tent, all the
4 Exodus 33:9-10 people would rise and bow down, all of them, at the entrance of their tent.
Moses said, “Show me your ​glory​, I pray.” And he said, “I will make all my
goodness pass before you, and will proclaim before you the name, ‘The Lord’;
and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom

The Lord descended in the ​cloud​ and stood with him there, and proclaimed the
name, “The Lord.”​ ​The Lord passed before him, and proclaimed,

a God merciful and gracious,

and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
keeping steadfast love for the thousandth generation,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin,

When Solomon had ended his prayer, fire came down from heaven and
consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the ​glory​ of the Lord filled
the temple. The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the
glory​ of the Lord filled the Lord’s house. When all the people of Israel saw the
fire come down and the ​glory​ of the Lord on the temple, they bowed down on
the pavement with their faces to the ground, and worshiped and gave thanks to

Who is the King of ​glory​?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
