Budget Analysis - Union Budget 2023

 Venue
- Auditorium, if all the batches are present in the campus and if expected number
of participants can easily be accommodated. (speaker will be joined online)
- Online, if the expected number of participants is more than the seating capacity
of the auditorium. Also, If we do not get auditorium for the event.

 Date
- Since the budget will release on 1st February this year,
- We would keep the event on 4th February (Saturday) as it’s a holiday for the
students so there would be no problem in getting the auditorium for 1.5-2 hours
and students can also easily come.
- Being a weekend, the guest speaker might also not face any problem in joining.
However, if he/she says to change the day to Sunday or so, then it will be
considered provided him being a very well known person.

 Time
- Preferably, around 12PM to ensure maximum participation, as in early morning
people do not wake up, and in late evening on holidays people go out.
- Subject to change as per the convenience of the Speaker.
- Students will be informed to join at 11:30AM, to ensure punctuality.

 Budget
- If a speaker asks for money, we’ll try convince him that it’s a student- driven
initiative which is not backed by any fundings. The motive of the programme is to
make students aware about the financial aspect of the government.
- Also, we’ll try to pitch him that to deliver a seminar in an IIM is of great esteem.

 Marketing
- Being an event which is exclusively for the college students, not much marketing
is required
- Just to float posters on WhatsApp groups of all the batches and on the social
media handles of Arthshastra.

 After seminar
- We’ll launch threads on Instagram as the ‘notes’ or ‘Key Takeaways’ from the
seminar.
