UTENSILS

Most utensils can be bought at a reasonable price in Germany. In Darmstadt, the big furniture store Mömax
nd
(http://www.moemax.de/haushaltswaren.kategorie-C10) offers a big choice. There are also some 2 hand shops
selling utensils very cheap. We recommend to bring enough to cover the first days and going shopping here.

BOOKS

In general, technical books in Germany are very expensive (usually starting from 20€). You can use the university's
library for free, and you will find all the books you need (Usually in several copies). But if you prefer to have your
own books for studying check your curriculum and bring accordingly.

When it comes to reading for pleasure, you can get a card from the public library
(http://www.stadtbibliothek.darmstadt.de/) for 5€/year. English, French and Spanish books are available there as
well as in the bookshops (from 7€).

H-da has membership in Sport Arena where you can play without paying any money. You can play Badminton, TT. H-
da in Dieburg has gym and Swimming pool also. There are cricket matches that are also conducted. So if you’re
interested get your Sport apparels and bats. We suggest to bring your own goggles if you like swimming. You can
