Abstract

This study aimed to determine the Impact of Peer Tutoring An Intervention In

Enhancing Reading Skills of Junior High School Students. This study was

conducted at San Jose National High School in the Municipality of Banga, City of

Koronadal, Region XII. This study was focused on determining the difference

between the experimental and controlled group in enhancing reading skills the

junior high. The study employed a descriptive experimental design. The

respondents included twenty-nine (29) students who was proportionally chosen

from each grade levels of junior high of San Jose National High School. Jamovi

app was employed to compute for the total number of samples. The proportional

allocation formula was applied to determine the sub-sample per grade level.

Simple random sampling using bowl fish method was used to select individual

respondents of the study. The result of this study denoted the present

relationship with the p-value of p=0.071 which is this solved by using the t-test

which t = M – µ Sx And by Jamovi App. The researchers concluded that there is

no significant difference between the experimental and controlled in enhancing

reading skills of junior high school.
