I. OBJECTIVES

1. To be able to identify different types of diesel-generating set (genset) installed in CMU compound.
2. To be able to gather data on the technical specifications of Diesel engine and the coupled generator.
3. To be able to gather data on the different components involved in the fuel system and cooling
system.
4. To be able to familiarize the operating procedure of the said genset, which includes the
starting- up procedure and shutting- down procedure.
4. To be able to gather other important data like bedplate and foundation which are needed for the
reference and for total evaluation/assessment of the system.
5. To be to gather information on the preventive maintenance done by the assigned operator of the
said gen set.
5. To be able to make or draw floor plan for the visited power houses.
