The purpose of this calculation is to design Pipe Support at Gresik station owned by PT. Pertamina Gas
( PERTAGAS ).

3.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS


3.1 Material
a) Steel :
Structural steel shall comply ASTM A36, JIS G3101 SS400 with yield strength 250 MPa, and tensile
strength 400 MPa
b) Bolt Connector :

Bolts shall comply with ASTM A307 Grade A, JIS B1180 Class 4.6 with tensile minimum is 413 MPa.

c) Concrete :
● Concrete, 28 days cylinder compressive strength : 350 kg/cm2
● Cement for upper ground portion : ASTM C150 Type I
● Cement for under ground portion : ASTM C150 Type II
c) Rebar Reinforcement :
● Deformed high yield steel bar : ASTM A615 Gr. 60 or equal

3.2 Unit Weight


Unit weight of major construction materials shall be as follows :
● Steel : 7860 kg/m3
● Mortar : 2000 kg/m3
● Reinforcement Concrete : 2400 kg/m3
● Plain Concrete : 2200 kg/m3
● Soil : 1500 kg/m3
Unit weight other than above mentioned shall be as per "Pedoman Perencanan Pembebanan
Untuk Rumah dan Gedung 1987".

4.0 DESIGN LOAD


Load applied to this structure based on stress analysis by piping engineer.

4.1 Dead Load ( DL )


a. Selfweight
Calculated by program.
b. Pipe 28" sch 10
Empty pipe weight load = 137.32 kg/m
c. Soil Weight
Weight per unit volume = 1500 kg/m3

4.2 Operating Load ( O )


Due to stress analysis, force applied to pipe support = 869.49 kg/m

4.3 Test Load ( T )


Due to stress analysis, force applied to pipe support = 345 kg/m

4.4 Seismic Load ( SL )


The Earthquake load is generated by STAAD PRO based on these parameters:
● Seismic Zone Area : 2 (Based on SNI Gempa 03-1726-2003)
2A (Based on UBC 1997)
● Earthquake Zone Factor : 0.15 G
● Importance Factor ( I ) : 1.25 (Table 16-K UBC 1997)
● Soil Profile Type : Sd
● Structural System ( R ) : 5.5 (Table 16-N UBC 1997)
● Seismic Coefficient Ca : 0.22 (Table 16-Q UBC 1997)
