TAG QUESTION (CÂU HỎI ĐUÔI)

Tag questions (or question tags) turn a statement into a question. They are often used
for checking information that we think we know is true.
e.g.
1) A: You are a musician, aren’t you?
B: Well, yes, but I’m just a beginner.
2) A: She can’t swim, can she?
B: No. She is scared deep waters.
Structure

Positive statement (+), ______________ tag (-)?


Negative statement (-), ______________ tag (+)?
Notes
1) The question tag consists of a supporting verb and a pronoun.
e.g. You were born in France, weren’t you?
