Project

The project should be based on the financial analysis of corporations. The project must include
the followings:

1. Brief description of the industry along with risk profile (selected by students)
2. Calculate the following items of different companies (For ex: 6 or 7) over the period of
5 years and interpret them
i. Annual Stock Return (based on share price)
𝑃1 +𝐷𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑒𝑟 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑒
ii. Total Shareholders Return ( )
𝑃0

iii. Financial Leverage = Total Debt or Borrowings / Total Equities

iv. Cost of equity, Cost of debt and overall cost of capital
3. Establish the relationship between:
i) Cost of capital and return of the stock.
ii) Interpret which stock performs better within the industry
iii) As an investor, which stock will you prefer?

Note:
i) Use both graphs and some analytical tools to analyze the relationship
ii) The deadline for submission is 15th October 2022.
iii) The total pages of the group report should be less than 20 pages
iv) Submit both project report and excel file (data file) for the project evaluation
v) Each group will prepare and submit the single pdf and excel files to my email.
