As an educator I take pride in the safety and well-being of each and every one of my
students. All students have the right to feel safe and comfortable while continuing their
education. As technology and social media becomes more and more prevalent it has been
seen people are spending more and more time on social media. I believe it is our duty as
educators, parents, and/or guardians to make sure our children/students understand how to
stay safe on social media. Although social media is often seen as a negative, there are
positive ways of using social media and many ways for us adults to educate the children/
students on saftley using social media.
