LESSON PLAN

TLE - Agricultural Crop Production

MELC: Identify farm tools according to use under the DepEd Philippines K to 12 Curriculum Guide.

Objective:

At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:

a. Identify the tools and equipment in farming;

b. Integrate the right use of the basic tools for land cultivation.

c. Appreciate the essential use of each tools and equipment in farming.

Preliminary Activities:

 Opening Prayer

 Observe Cleanliness

 Checking of Attendance

 Review: Begin the lesson by reviewing the different types of evidence (i.e. anecdotal, statistical,
expert opinion, etc.) and their characteristics.

Subject Matter:

Topic: FARM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.

Melc Code: TLE-9-12UT-0a-1

Materials: Laptop, TV Monitor, visual aids, cut-out pictures.

Review: Ask students about their knowledge of farm tools and their uses. List down their answers on
the board.

Motivation:

Show pictures of different farm tools and ask the students to identify them. Give a prize to the student
with the most correct answers.
Activity:

Tool Identification Relay Race - Divide the class into two teams. Put different farm tools in a basket at
the end of the room. The first player from each team runs to the basket, chooses a tool, and runs back
to their team to identify the tool's use. The team with the most correctly identified tools wins.

Analysis:

Ask the students to share their experiences during the activity and what they learned.

Abstraction:

Discuss the importance of using the right tool for a specific task.

Application:

Ask the students to think of a real-life scenario where using the wrong tool can cause harm or damage.
