Loss and Damage Policy

Updated June 2022

Company property loaned to Employees during their employment is the Employee’s responsibility and must be
looked after by the Employee. The Company also asks that the Employee take care with their workspace and
surroundings in the office.

If any company property is lost or damaged while under Employee’s responsibility, it is the employee’s
responsibility to make reparations to the company to fix and or replace any damaged hardware. It will be at
Manager’s discretion to charge the associated cost of the property to the Employee.

Examples of these property costs are, but not limited to;

Building Security Pass – loss $20

Internet Dongle/Card – loss $50

Smart Phone – loss or damage $750

IPad – loss or damage $900

Laptop/Tablet Computer – loss or damage $1500

It is the responsibility of the Employee to notify their manager as soon as they become aware that the property
is damaged, missing or stolen.

If the property is stolen then an official police report will be required in order for the company to attempt an
insurance claim. If the claim is approved, reparations may be reduced depending on the size of the pay out
from the company’s insurer. Note that smart phones are not claimable through insurance.

I understand, accept and will abide by West’s Loss and Damage Policy.
