Isramiraj
Isramiraj
First of all, let say thanks “Alhamdulillah” for all the blessings of faith, Islam, and
opportunity that Allah given to us, therefore we can welcome a moment of commemoration of Isra
Mi’raj of Prophet Muhammad SAW, 1444 H – year 2023
May peace and blessing of Allah be upon Muhammad SAW, the Messenger who Allah invited to Mi’raj
passing seven levels of the sky to Sidratul Muntaha for receiving the command of Shalat.
We are blessed and should be happy because we can together welcome an incredible event that full of
lesson in the end Rajab, 1444 H.
Although, our country is in a hard time and full of pressure caused by pandemic, the hope to keep
moving forward should be maintained, because it is the key to face a test from Allah SWT.
Every year, we usually commemorate Isra’ Mi’raj of the Prophet by organizing some events such as;
giving speech, recitation, or various kinds of competitions in term of Islam. Indeed, there are so many
ways to take a moment of Isra Miraj in this era, even though 1401 years have passed, but the purity of
the Qur’an and Islam itself are still maintained.
So, what the lesson should we take on the commemoration of Isra Mi’raj of Prophet Muhammad SAW in
2023?
Isra is a night journey of Prophet Muhammad SAW from Masjidil Haram to Masjidil Aqsa, whereas Mi’raj
is a prophet journey toward seven levels of the sky to Sidratul Muntaha.
Those two occurrences are occult events which are being evidence of the great power of Allah. Allah’s
power encompasses universe, sky, earth, and everything in it. Talk about the journey, then to this day,
how far have we travelled to achieve goodness?
Basically, we live in this world only for a short time, and that is a part of the journey. Day by day, we as
Muslims are expected to be willing for being a better person, more pious, more obedient, increasingly
reaching a noble character.
If we imagine, it is very difficult for sure. For things that seem like working hard and studying hard, it is
still difficult for us to be consistent, furthermore those that are unseen, aren’t they?
But learning from the struggle of Prophet Muhammad SAW who then did Isra’ Mi’raj, then we must
believe and trust that Allah will always help His servants. Allah will always provide convenience for them
who want to repent and attain piety.
In life as a Muslim, we have certainly committed sins and mistakes. Yet, we are forbidden by Allah to
despair of Allah’s mercy. As devout Muslims, let us make a moment of Isra ‘Mi’raj 1444 H as an
additional passion to travel to leave behind those bad behaviors.
“Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allah Almighty but that Allah will replace it with
something better.” (HR. Ahmad 5: 363)
From occurrences of Is’ra Mi’raj of Prophet Muhammad SAW, we can take a lesson that in fact, Allah will
always help His servants. Therefore, we as servants should never feel tired to pray.
Hopefully, there are many changes in our selves for the better one, starting from today, tomorrow, the
day after tomorrow and so on.
That all are my speech, I am sorry for all the mistakes I made.
