JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:
Deputy Restaurant Manager

Brand:

Reports To:
Restaurant Manager / Area Manager / Operations Manager

Purpose:
This position is to deputise when necessary for the Restaurant Manager in the overall
running of the individual restaurant, encompassing the maximising of profit contribution by
achieving planned sales, controlling costs, achieving operating and customer service
standards through the effective management and development of staff.

Principle Accountabilities:
‰ In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, the jobholder will deputise and
undertake the duties and responsibilities as laid down in the Restaurant Manager’s
job description.
‰ When the Restaurant Manager is present, the job holder will, as a senior member of
the Assistant Management team, undertake the duties as laid down in the Assistant
Manager Job description.

Additional Responsibilities:
‰ Act as mentor to new Trainee Managers and supervisors within the restaurant
‰ Conduct all staff inductions.
‰ Undertake project work and strategic business initiatives as required.
‰ Assist in helping resolve operational issues in other restaurants.
