Content Standard: Pre-lesson: Colour flashcards are reintroduced to pupils. Pupils

Main: 2.1.5 Name or describe objects using
suitable words from word sets
were asked about the colour spelling randomly.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils are each given a cootie catcher template. A sample of
completed cootie catcher is shown to pupils.
2. Pupils are guided to cut the template. Pupils colour correctly
based on the words given.
3. Pupils are guided to fold the cootie catcher step by step by
teacher.
4. Teacher demonstrates how to play with the Colour Cootie
Catcher.
5. Pupils play using the cootie catcher with their partners.

Post-lesson: Pupils refer to textbook page 7. CD 1 08 is played.

Pupils listen and point to the correct pictures.
Complementary: 3.1.3 Blend phonemes (CVC,
CCVC)

OBJECTIVES TEACHING AIDS:

Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to state textbook cootie catcher songs/audio clips
at least 4 colours correctly.
