Course synopsis This course introduces students to the drawing techniques with computer-aided
engineering software (AutoCAD). This includes drawing formats, coordinate systems,
command editing, dimensions and text, such as the array direction; hatch; change; point;
inquiry and plotting. The course will also include an introduction to drawing 3D wireframe,
surface and solid modelling. At the end of the course, students will be able to use computer
software as a tool to generate engineering drawings using geometric drawing and editing
commands are learned. Students will also be able to use that knowledge to produce some
other design projects.
