    5th San Pedro Educators Badminton Club Tournament

    June 18, 2023 (7:00 am - onwards)

    Tournament Rules / Mechanics

    1. Registration fee of Php500.00 inclusive of Tournament Shirt, Court Fee, shuttle cocks,
    Awards, Simple lunch, and other related expenses.
    2. Players to choose their own partner.
    3. MENS and WOMENS Division.NO Mixed Divisions
    4. Groupings. Five (5) pairs each Group for both MENS and WOMENS
    5. Elimination. ROUND ROBIN format. Race to 25 (MENS), Race to 21 (WOMENS). NO DEUCE
    6. Top 2 Pairs in each Group shall be determined based on number of Wins. In case of tie,
    point system shall apply. Top 2 pairs in each Group will advance to Semi-finals
    7. SEMI-FINALS (MENS). Draw lots to determine which two pairs shall Play
    (Cross-Over Format. Rank 1 will face rank 2 in the opponents’ group). RACE-to-25 points.
    NO Deuce. Winners in the Cross-over will play for FINALS.
    SEMI-FINALS (WOMENS). (Cross-Over Format. Rank 1 will face rank 2 in the opponents’
    group). RACE-to-21 points. NO Deuce. Winners in the Cross-over will play for FINALS.

    8. FINALS (MENS). Draw lots to determine the Match. Winner in each Group will play for
    Championship. Losers will play for Bronze. RACE-to-25 points. NO Deuce.
    FINALS (WOMENS). Winner in each Group will play for Championship. Losers will play for
    Bronze. RACE-to-21 points. NO Deuce

    AWARDS:

    MENS : Champion down to 3rd Runner-up = Trophy each player + Medals + Certificate
    Rank 5 to 8 pairs in the Semis = Medals + Certificate
    NON-Winner = Certificate of Participation

    WOMENS: Champion down to 3rd Runner-up = Trophy each player + Medals + Certificate
    NON-Winner = Certificate Participation
