YOUR GUIDE

TO BARCELONA
IN 2 DAYS (DAY 1)
Barcelona has many things to offer, and although sometimes we would like to stay forever, we know that sometimes
only a short trip is possible. We have created this complete guide so that you can enjoy the best places in Barcelona in
48 hours! With a wide variety of places to eat, drink and places to visit in the city, here we will share some of our
recommendations...

09:00am
We will start the day in Plaça de Catalunya, the central square

of Barcelona, with more than 50,000 square meters. Walk south

to the famous Rambla. Going down the Rambla to the left, we
will enter the Gothic Quarter and its narrow streets. There on
Calle Petritxol we recommend you order some churros with
chocolate for breakfast if you haven't already. It’s taste will
delight you!

10:30am
After breakfast, we will continue on our way and go back down
La Rambla, to visit the most famous market in Barcelona: El

Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria. An ideal place for locals

and tourists to shop and, of course, eat delicious fresh products.
Behind the Boqueria, you can visit one of the most alternative
neighborhoods in the city, El Raval, where two of the best
museums in Barcelona are located: the Museum of
Contemporary Art (MACBA) and the Centre for Contemporary
Culture of Barcelona (CCCB).

13:00pm
Follow La Rambla and on your right you will find the Gran Teatre

del Liceu, the oldest and most prestigious theater in Barcelona.

From there we will go down to Plaça Reial. This square built in
1848, is full of palm trees, bars, restaurants and lampposts
designed by Antoni Gaudí. Enjoy our gastronomy in one of the
many terraces of Plaça Reial and taste some of the most typical
tapas: some patatas bravas or a tapa of Iberian ham, along with
a good sangria or glass of cava.

15:00pm
After lunch, we will go to Carrer de Ferran to enter the Gothic
Quarter of Barcelona, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city,

which offers beautiful architecture. Once you arrive at Plaça de

Sant Jaume, you will be able to see the Town Hall and the
Government buildings. From here, continue along Carrer del Bisbe,
where you will find its famous bridge. If you go under it and look
up, you can see that there is a skull pierced by a dagger! Follow
this street and you will reach the famous Cathedral of Barcelona.

16:30pm
From the Gothic Quarter, head to Via Laietana. If you walk along

this great avenue towards the mountain, you can visit the Palau
de la Música Catalana, declared a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO. With its ornate decorations and lavish interior,
designed in 1908 by the famous Lluís Domènech i Montaner, this
great music hall does not fail to impress even the most
demanding spectators.
18:00pm
We will go down Via Laietana towards the sea, where we will
finish our first day in the El Born neighborhood. Being one of

the trendiest places in the city with a bohemian charm, it is

perfect for pre-dinner drinks. Be sure to take a look at the
Basilica of Santa María del Mar, an impressive example of
Catalan Gothic architecture, visit the Picasso Museum or the
Born Centre Cultural, one of the most important archaeological
sites in Europe.

20:00pm
For dinner, we recommend exploring the Plaza del Born, where

you will find Mediterranean cuisine made with fresh products.

You can choose from many bars and restaurants with terraces,
where you can sit outside to enjoy a sunset dinner and delight in
a wide range of traditional dishes and tapas such as padron
peppers, patatas bravas, croquettes or seafood.

22:00pm
For drinks after dinner, you can continue in El Born. Full of

peculiar bars and cocktail bars, El Born is one of the favourite

areas for locals due to its lively nightlife. If you are looking for
a place closer to the centre, go to the Eixample area or to
Plaça Reial, where you will find other places full of life and
good atmosphere.

YOUR GUIDE
TO BARCELONA
IN 2 DAYS (DAY 2)

09:00am
We will begin our tour of the Eixample neighborhood, visiting

some of the most famous works of the Catalan architect Antoni

Gaudí.

Start with breakfast on La Rambla de Catalunya, where you will

find a wide variety of bars and cafés. Buy some snacks to keep
you going all morning. There is so much to see!

09:45am
Turn right onto the grand Passeig de Gràcia, where Gaudí's

impressive Casa Batlló is located, restored in 1906, a true piece

of architecture to photograph. Next, continue along Passeig de
Gràcia to Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera. This imposing
building was completed in 1912. Climb up to the roof terrace
for views of the city.

11:30am
A visit to Barcelona would not be complete without seeing

Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece: the Sagrada Familia. Take

metro line 5 at Diagonal and get off at Sagrada Familia, you will
immediately be amazed by Gaudí's most famous work towering
above you. Marvel at its ceilings and stained glass windows
before taking the elevator to the top for spectacular views of the
city. Make sure to book your tickets in advance!

13:30pm
Parc Güell is the most famous park in Barcelona, so you cannot

miss it on your visit to the city. Take a bus or taxi from Sagrada
Familia and explore Parc Güell, another UNESCO World
Heritage Site. In addition to the famous mosaic salamander
and its curved bench, discover the house where Gaudí lived for
twenty years. There are multiple picnic areas in the park.

15:00pm
If you haven't eaten yet, for lunch head to the bohemian

neighborhood of Gràcia. With an impressive array of trendy

restaurants and variety of cuisines, Gràcia will suit any of your
tastes! Visit Calle Verdi or Plaza del Sol or Vila de Gracia with its
famous terraces.

Next, take the Diagonal metro to Paral·lel and then take the
funicular to Montjuïc.
17:30pm
Montjuïc is a popular mountain in Barcelona that offers stunning

views of the sea. The historic castle of Montjuïc, which was once
a fort and later a military prison, is located at the top of the
mountain and is freely accessible. In this area you will also find
the Poble Espanyol open-air museum, the 1992 Olympic
stadium, the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the Joan
Miró Foundation.

19:30pm
After all this exploring and sightseeing, you'll be starving. Go

down the mountain to the port of Barcelona and delight yourself

with an ice cream while you enjoy a walk near the sea or visiting
the Barceloneta district, a fishermen's district. Don't eat too
much, dinner is just around the corner... Choose one of the many
restaurants located along the boardwalk for spectacular views
and delicious food.

21:30pm
After dinner, if you still have energy, walk to Barceloneta along
the beach where you can enjoy a drink at a beachside bar. You

will find yourself with a lot of options!
