LESSON TITLE: The comparative and superlative of short and long adjectives

TYPE OF LESSON: Grammar, acquiring new knowledge

TIME: 50 minutes

SKILLS: speaking, reading, listening, writing

TEACHING TECHNIQUES: conversation, explanation, brainstorming observation,


discussions;

MATERIALS AND AIDS: coloured chalk, blackboard notebooks, pencils, worksheets

AIMS:
 to use the comparatives and the superlatives in conversation;

 to give pupils-controlled practice in the use of the Comparative and Superlative


of adjectives;
 to compare two/three things or persons;
 to perform oral and written tasks related to the topic.

OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to:
 recognize the adjectives;
 use correctly the comparative of short and long in order to compare different
things and persons;
 use appropriately the superlative of short and long adjectives;

STAGES OF THE LESSON

Activity 1: Organization and warm up
