Trisha Umali sees herself working in hospital or institutional nursing in the future. She is interested in this field because it will allow her to help those in need and improve her skills by dealing with various patient types across different areas of a hospital. She will also gain experience managing a wide range of medical situations and specialties. While military nursing also appeals due to its challenges, Trisha believes any path that allows her to save lives in critical situations will be meaningful.

WHAT FIELD OF NURSING DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE AND WHY?
“I currently prefer hospital or institutional nursing. I hope to be able to work
in a well-rounded hospital or institution in the near future. Why am I interested in this field? It is because I know that in a hospital setting, I will be able to use my skills and knowledge to help everyone who is in need. I will also be able to improve my abilities by contributing to my experience in dealing with various types of patients in multiple areas of the hospital. In addition, I will be able to deal with a wide range of medical situations and specialty fields in the hospital. Military Nursing is also on my list. I find it very interesting and challenging at the same time. Even though working in a battlefield sounds difficult and dangerous for a nurse, I believe it will be highly rewarding if I am able to take the risk. But, regardless of what path I take in the future, I know it will be very meaningful and worthwhile if I can touch and save the lives of people in life and/or death situations.”
