Semester Registration of students for the July - December semester of 2023 will be available through https://sims.sliit.lk/
online registration portal from 26th June 2023 onwards as per the below given timelines.

1. Registrations
1.1 Speical note on eligiblity
As per the applicable progression criteira, those who are progressing from Year 1 to Year 2 should NOT have more than 12
incomplete credits. Any student who does not meet the progression criteria will be automatically deregistered.

2. How to register?

Step 1 - Read the entire notice first, calculate the amount to be paid and make the necessary payment
Step 2 - Visit https://sims.sliit.lk/ and access your account
If you have not re-set your password to log-in to the account, please refer to the steps given on the Courseweb

 Step 3 – If you have already completed the above step, please log into https://sims.sliit.lk/ and select
“Semester Registrations” link on the left side menu.
Step 4 - Select Your semester registration details & Click Submit & Next Button
Step 4 - Here all your Modules related to the Semester you are registering to will be displayed. Click Submit & Next
Button.
Step 5 - Next, select your payment option
 Option 1 Offline Payment: Enter your payment details and upload your bank deposit slip /online transfer
receipt.
If the payment is made offline, please click on "upload payment slip" and submit the payment slip, which will
undergo a verification. Students who make online payments/any kind fund transfers/cash deposits via
banking counters must upload the receipt of transaction with Transaction ID either as a Screenshot, PDF or
JPEG when the registering.
SLIIT full and partial Scholarship Recipients must upload the applicable Scholarship Letter as proof of payment.
 Option 2 Online Payment: You can make the payment using your credit/ debit card. (A convenience fee
will be applicable)

Step 6 - Check your registration status. This should be show as “Verification Pending” until the payment is confirmed
from SLIIT.
** MoE IFSLS students MUST complete the aforementioned requirements (except payment uploading) in order to be considered
as an active student for the July–December 2023 semester.

3. Payment Methods

3.2 Payments made through Bank Loans

 For payments made via bank loans from local banks, the cheque to the drawn name of “Sri Lanka Institute of
Information Technology (Gte.) Ltd” and the cheque must be deposited to one of SLIIT accounts mentioned above
during the regular registration period. Then the cheque deposit slip should be attached as the proof of payment in the
online registration process.

 All bank loan students should apply for the study loans well in advance and must register during normal registration
period. Any delay in processing must be informed via https://support.sliit.lk >> Other during the regular registration
period. Loans processed after the registration period without prior communication will not be accepted for the
registration of the semester and or will be charged with late processing fee.

3.3 Weekend batch Registrations
 All the students who register for the Weekend (WE) batch are hereby requested to submit their employment confirmation
letter via this below given form.
 If you have already submitted a employment confirmation letter in your previous semester, still you are required to provide
a letter to prove that you are still employed as advised by the Business School.
 Those who are fail to submit the employment letters on or before 24th July 2023 will be automatically transferred to Week
Day batch without prior notice.
