3 Read the riddle, try to solve it and put the dialogue in the correct order.
A man came to town on Friday. He stayed for two
days and he left on Friday. How is this possible?

Jackie: How do you know?

Jackie: So that must mean that Friday is something else. What do you think it is?
Sean: Great! We’ve solved the puzzle.
Sean: Because it’s not logical. If he came on Friday, then he couldn’t stay for two
days and leave on Friday.
Sean: Yes, it is! But let’s try to solve it. Friday can’t be a day of the week.
Sean: Friday might be the name of something he came to town on.
Jackie: I know! It was the man’s horse!
1 Sean: Oh, a riddle! I love doing these!
Jackie: It’s difficult, isn’t it?
