PROPOSAL PLAN FOR HSS 108 & Work Immersion

I. Introduction
For the duration of the whole pandemic, the Philippines has been going through hardship due to the underlying problems of the government that
has greatly affected the lives of the Filipino people. Essentially, in order for us to combat these, we have to establish different programs and activities
that resolve the reoccurring issues that we are facing today. And as part of the whole project, we are going to identify democratic and undemocratic
practices that are observed in either barangay, municipal, or provincial levels. These will help us break the problem into different parts in pursuit of
recognizing what we have to do as citizens of this nation. In addition to that, we are going to distinguish different alternatives that can guide us through
the whole process. As a proposal plan, we have to keep in mind these aspects: involved institutions, feasible alternatives, logistics, involved agencies,
and the time frame – all of which are based off of concrete preparations that will be used for further applications.
This developmental task will teach us how to cohesively put ideas together for real-world situations. Being it said that this is a collaborative work
between HSS 108 and work immersion, we can therefore expect that we are essentially working on the field as active democratic participants. And
even though we are limited with the resources that we need to uplift these plans; we can at least start from scratch and learn from this proposal.
II. Executive Summary

There are different democratic and undemocratic practices that are prominent in our region and these are what greatly affect the welfare of our
own people. Within our own locality, our people have suffered through various means that caused detrimental effects to societal development. Due
to the corona virus pandemic, democratic participation has tunneled down into different mediums, separating politics in the real world, and creating a
political war zone on the internet. With the limitations we have at hand, there are those who are living in poverty that are deprived of their ability to
take part in different democratic practices, and it is within our responsibility to aid those who need our help; and this proposal plan offers various
alternatives that do so.

This proposal plan is divided into three parts: establishing programs to help the poor, creating limitations for the covid-19 pandemic, and offering
assistance to those who need help in registering as voters. Essentially, these are the most prominent solutions that we can use to the relevant issues
that we have today. And with careful analysis, we can showcase the alternative resolutions with regards to its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,
and threats – all of which are considered upon making this plan. In conclusion, this aims to uplift democratic values that promote active citizenship
and participation. In order for us to obtain a desirable result, we have to recognize individual proactivity in pursuit of negating societal issues, and we
have to fight for our basic human rights with regards to our democratic rights.
