    A NUMBER

    Zero became a number in India


    at 628 A.D Brahmagupta is
    known to write the number
    zero as a number for the first
    time. It was written as a dot.

    Zero was written as 0 in Arabia .


    They were also the first one to
    give a name which was "şifr"
    which had the meaning empty

    3 USED IN EQUATIONS

    The number 0 was first used in equations in


    Italy by Fibonacci. It also was used in Italy by
    merchants for balancing their accounts. But
    government in Italy made it illegal because it
    was arabic and the churchs called it satanic.
    But merchants continued to use it illegaly.

    The word zero came into

    Italian zero.
