Topic: Course Preliminaries Week: 1
Learning Intent
At the end of the week, the students are expected to:
1. Get to know each other by expressing themselves in the “Expresso Activity”
2. Provide a list of expectations on the content the participants would find most useful in the class
3. Create a set of agreements that set forth the ground rules for creating a successful learning environment and
achieving their expectations.

The course requires group activities and therefore it is essential that you get at least the minor details about your
classmate.
a. Expresso Activity

II. Activity:

1. This activity will be a fun way for everyone to get to know each other. In this activity, each student will share their
answers given in the expresso presentation.

2. Give participants a few minutes to think of their four things.

3. Have one participant share their answer. Continue having each participant share. Allow discussion to follow based
on what each participant shares until everyone is done sharing.

4. The number of participants that will share will depend on the available time. If there is a time constraint, then the
teacher can only ask for volunteers to share or s/he can just pick anyone from the class.

5. Kindly list down their expectation from the class and/or the teacher.

6. Submit your Expresso as a group in a form of short video or any multi media platform of 2-3 minutes in the google
drive provided in the GC.

III. Assessment
Plenary Session:
1. Did participants share information about themselves?
2. Were participants creative in expressing their answers?
3. Did the participants express interest in each other’s lives?
