ACCIDENTAL DEATHS IN INDIA

Incidence and Rate of Accidental Deaths


during the Decade (2001-2011)
A total of 3,90,884 accidental deaths were

A total of 3,67,194 (93.9%) deaths were due to 5.5% in deaths due to causes attributable to
un-natural causes and the rest of 6.1% deaths nature and an increase of 2.1% in deaths due

Incidence & Rate of Accidental Deaths in has accounted for 7.7% of accidental deaths in

The highest rate of accidental deaths was Deaths’ than the All-India average of 32.3

Traffic Accidents

Traffic Accidents comprising (i) Road therein, their percentage variations over
