Fixed and Automatic Raising Bollards The following specifications provide generic information and MINIMUM requirements, Rising Bollards Array Specifications Type - Rising Bollards shall be aesthetically pleasing and of a design suitable for the environment they are to be installed in. They shail be hydraulically driven by a local Hydraulic Pressure Unit. PAS68 & PAS69 - All bollards shall be rated to PAS68 standards and the rating for each bollard shall be determined on its location and the maximum possible approach speed of a vehicle. Bollards are to be installed to PASG9 standards. Finishes - Bollards shall be available ina range of finishes to sult individual applications, A means of providing either illumination or a reflective paint shall be used, Rising bollards shall aesthetically match the static bollards. Speed of Operation - Bollards should lower/rise in 6-seconds, with an emergency fast operation of 2- seconds Foundations - The sub-soil into which the foundations are being instalied shall not affect the rating. Spacing - Bollards shall be installed so that no gap greater than 1.2m (edge to edge) ts created. Careful consideration should be given in the placement of these bollards and compliance with applicable disability acts. Safety - Bollards shall operate with Inductions loops within the road surface to prevent them from rising if a vehicle is detected on the loop. A second loop will trigger the rising of the bollards that indicates the vehicle is clear. There shall be the option for illumination to be contained within the bollards making them more visible to motorists. - Swing Gate with Access Readers Minimum recommended - Motorized Swing gates * Sophisticated sensor systems prohibiting unauthorized entry * Normally closed * Stainless steel construction with polyurethane and acrylic or equivalent * Surface mounting and internal integration of access control devices * Logic interfece (24Vdc) or as per manufacturer design * Emergency interface to facilitate escape Override switch (gate control console) should be Installed on the security desk- main entrance to manual close/open in case of Emergency/Fire or high flow as per KAHRAMAA requirements. Exclusive and efficient motorized entrance Swinging gate/panel with extra wide walk lane to comply with Disability Discrimination requirements (without logo) , High flow capacity, low acrylic wings, * Approx. 1000 mm walkway width. » Bi-directional passage » Hands-free operation * LED display for status mode/direction = Usage of proximi pe card reader. It can be used on any site where it is wished to create an obstacle to traffic without restricting pedestrian access. In urban environments, it has the advantage of being completely invisible when lowered. It is also perfect for controlling vehicle access to pedestrian areas. The high-security bollards have greater impact resistance than that of the other obstacles in the range (see technical characteristics below). Description 1. High-security obstacle comprising a 275 mm diameter, 25 mm thick steel cylinder covered with an AISI 304 stainless steel sheet metal of 1.5 mm thick. 2. 30mm thick cast aluminium crown. 3. 55 mm reflective strip. 4. Mobile obstacle supported on a thick steel section supporting structure. 5. 5mm thick cast aluminium cover plate. 6. Galvanized sheet steel embedded casing with a steel frame at the top for attaching the obstacle. 7. Mobile obstacle is held vertically and strengthened by means of a thick steel collar connected to the supporting structure and a nylon bush built-in to the obstacle and sliding along the central jack. 8. Synthetic joint. 9. Plunger central hydraulic jack for raising and lowering the obstacle. Obstacle not fixed to the jack to limit damages caused by small shocks. 10. Hydraulic unit mounted on the supporting structure producing 40 bars to maintain the obstacle in the raised position. 11, Obstacle stopped in raised and lowered positions by mechanical stops. 12, Steel/rubber bearinas support the obstacle when in the retracted position, allowing it to withstand the passage of heavy vehicles (40T — Class Load D400). 13. Inductive sensors for raised and lowered position status information. 14. Remote microprocessor control board, separated from the obstacle (10 m of electric cable provided), dipswitch programming, LED display for obstacle status and inputs/outputs used. ® Bollard: Surface protection c Mobile obstacle: steel covered with Staihless steel sheet metal of 1.5 mm thick. © Cover plate: grey anthracite RAL 7016. © Crown: light grey RAL 9006. * Casing: polyester powder paint RAL 7016. ® Jack: surface anodizing, Technical characteristics Impact resistance Electrical power supply Frequency a Nominal power Raising speed Lowering speed Operating temperature Frequency of use Mean Cycles Between Failure Weight Protection index ce Quran aur ¢ 700,000 joules, with guaranteed operation; ¢ 2,000,000 joules, with permanent deformation, (=MS50 certification: stops a 6.8 ton [15000 Ib) vehicle launched at 80 km/h [50 mih}) 230 V single phase.
