Task 1

The given line graph and table illustrate the number of foreign travellers
who visited Australia from the year 1975 to 2005 and show where they came
from. As can be seen from the given illustrations, the number of overseas
visitors increased steadily each year and the highest number of tourists came to
Australia from Japan and South Korea.
As is presented in the given line graph, around 9 million tourists came to
Australia initially in 1975. This number kept on increasing steadily and reached
over 15 million in 1985. In the year the number of tourists who visited Australia
accounted for 24 million and finally in 1995, this number rose considerably over
30 million. The number grew up each year starting from 1975 and in 30 years,
the total tourists made up over 30 million.
The table compares the foreign tourists who visited Australia in 1975 and
2005 and shows the origins of these tourists. In 1975, total 8.8 millions of
tourists visited Australia, of whom 2.9 million came from South Korea and 3.2
million from Japan. About 9.1 millions of South Korean tourists came to visit
Australia in 2005 and this number is about 3 times compared to tourists recorded
in 1975. In 2005 the Japanese tourists increased to almost fourfold than the
tourists in 1975. In 2005, the total Australia visiting tourists increased to 30.4
million compared to the 8.8 million in 30 years back.

Task 2
The idea of having a single career is becoming an old fashioned one. The
new fashion will be to have several careers or ways of earning money and
further education will be something that continues throughout life.
It is a common believe that people should pursue more than one career at
the same time instead of having a lifelong career in a specific field.
This inclination towards having more than one source of income and searching
for better ones is a by-product of the increasing demands for better living
standards. In my opinion, I agree that people should have several careers to
make a living in this modern world because of our survival and ambition.
 It is true that a salary from a typical job is not enough to cover the daily
expenditure as the overall standard of living and its costs have increased. It is
really hard to maintain minimum level of standard from single source of income.
When the prices of goods and services inflate gradually every year, the salary
that people earn does not inflate with the consistent of the pace of society.
Therefore, people will have to work for other jobs to survive. For example, some
people do online business such as selling goods online. In addition, in order to
have several careers, it is undeniable that continuous education is a reasonable
thing.
People are not content with what they have, they want to achieve more
and more. For most people, pursuing more than one carrier is the only way to
achieve their ambitions in life. For instance, doctors are working as lecturers at
various institutes in their spare time. IT and management professionals are
dedicating their weekends for building their own startups. Moreover, everybody
is exploring all possible ways of finding an extra source of income, to cater the
needs of these zealous job hoppers both online and offline skill development
courses are available. To do so, people need various skills. Further education is
direly needed and thus education becomes an indispensable part of human life.
It is true that having numerous jobs can affect both a person’s physical
and mental health. Since working for various employers puts an individual under
a stressful daily routine, lack of effort and quality in work becomes more
frequent, unfavourable in the long run. However, money can buy all the material
items in life that create happiness. For example, a person can choose to buy a
luxury car, afford an international annual family vacation and a lavish lifestyle,
provided he has the abundant financial support. Therefore, having different ways
of earning money will help the individuals to attain required financial freedom
to afford a balanced living.
In conclusion, having several careers will help us pursue our dreams and
better living standards. Notion of having several professions is becoming more
and more trendy, especially among youngsters lately. Thus, people tend to work
for several careers to earn as much money as they can and education becomes
part of their career enhancement.
